Mozambique Rapariga Biz initiatives are built on a holistic, human rights-based approach that help close health disparity gaps and shift the attitudes, behavior, and agency of girls, young women and men to reduce early marriage and pregnancy rates while also addressing and 2030 Agenda priorities.

Joint Programme Steering Committee 

The Steering Committee provides strategic leadership of the programme, including guidance on fund allocations, monitoring and evaluation, and the annual review. The Committee is comprised of representatives from the Government of Mozambique, Canadian Department for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the United Nations, and local partners. 

Administrative Agent 

Funds are routed by way of a pass-through mechanism. Participating Organizations receive funds through the Administrative Agent, Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF) Office. The Administrative Agent is responsible for the receipt, administration and management of contributions from donors, disbursement of funds to Participating Organizations, and consolidation and dissemination of progress reports to donors.  

Participating Organizations 

Programme implementation is the responsibility of Participating Organizations. Each organization is programmatically and financially responsible for resources received.

Mozambique Rapariga Biz addresses existing health disparities among adolescents in Mozambique through the implementation of initiatives that assist girls and young women to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
