Development inter-agency pooled funds support UN organizations in working together towards SDG and 2030 Agenda achievement by fully aligning activities with national development priorities. By combining the expertise of the UN and external partners, development funds provide multi-dimensional and integrated responses to development challenges, covering a range of global, regional, and national SDG concerns. Pooled financing offers stakeholders a unique opportunity to focus joint efforts on sustainable development and, at the same time, advance gender equality and the rights of people living with disabilities, improve access to health and social services, and other intersectional issues.
The MPTF Office, in partnership with the UN Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG), administers a variety of global, regional, and local pooled funds for development. It also acts as a trustee for governments, multilateral organizations, foundations, and the private sector.
