JP DRC Sexual Violence Prevent

Overview
DRC Sexual Violence Prevention Joint Programme

As part of national stabilization and reconstruction efforts in Eastern Congo, the DRC Sexual Prevention Joint Programme was launched to respond to humanitarian and security needs linked to the increase in cases of sexual violence. In support of local efforts, programme support helped national and local stakeholders in implementing a national strategy to combat sexual and gender-based violence in Eastern Congo.

The programme was comprised of five key components: fighting against impunity; protection and prevention; reforming the security sector; multi-sector assistance, and investments in data mapping, analysis, and dissemination.
