Established in 2005, the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF) is a pooled funding mechanism used to advance humanitarian aid reforms, strengthen stakeholder response capacities, provide predictable and timely funding, improve coordination, and endorse Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD) principles. Moreover, the Fund gives the Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan greater flexibility in allocating funds to enabling rapid responses under unforeseen circumstances.
