Nepal Devt. Framework MPTF

OverviewNepal Development Framework MPTF

Multiple natural hazards like earthquakes, floods, landslides and fires are a major source of risk to people living in Nepal. Although disasters with the most severe humanitarian implications are addressed through emergency response preparedness plans closely aligned with government efforts, gaps remain. The United Nations, uniquely positioned in Nepal, assists relevant stakeholders in reframing and expanding national and local disaster management protocols and systems, using the Nepal Development Framework MPTF to enhance coordination, share information, ramp up data collection and analysis, and boost humanitarian efforts  vis-à-vis contextually-sensitive disaster responses across ministries within the federal government.
